J.K. Rowling Has New Harry Potter Film Series In The Works

Harry Potter fans rejoice! There may still be a chance that you can dive back into J.K. Rowling’s fantastic world of magic. According to Commingsoon.net, Rowling has been in talks with Warner Bros. to return to the silver screen.


“It all started when Warner Bros. came to me with the suggestion of turning ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ into a film,”said Rowling.”

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a spinoff novel out of the world of Harry Potter written by Newt Scamander. The book focuses on all those mystical monsters that were only seen in glimpses throughout the seven Harry Potter films, taking us to familiar places from the series itself.

“As I considered Warners’ proposal, an idea took shape that I couldn’t dislodge. That is how I ended up pitching my own idea for a film to Warner Bros.” Rowling said.

Along with the film series, Warner Bros. will develop content throughout the rest of their companies divisions including video games, and other consumer products including some at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. Warner Bros. Has also agreed to provide world-wide distribution for “The Casual Vacancy on BBC, a television series based of J.K. Rowling’s best selling book, which will begin production in 2014.
