Expect A “Tired and Weary and Seasoned” Batman in the Man of Steel Sequel.
Forget about a young, spry Bruce Wayne. Warner Bros. is targeting an older more seasoned Batman to appear in the Man of Steel sequel. Since the casting rumors, many felt like DC was going in this direction, their new Dark Knight would have a lot of experience under his belt. This new batman will be “tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile,” according to Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara while speaking to Variety.
Ben Affleck has been under a lot of fire ever since his name was announce as Batman but DC couldn’t be happier with the decision they made. “We think it’s the perfect springboard for Batman and Superman,” Tsujihara said. “Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character.”
The untitled Man of Steel sequel aside from this most recent castings but Tsujihara did say to expect “a lot of announcements” coming, making sure to mention that they have three brand new animated TV shows in the works as well.
