Geoff Johns Leaves Aquaman
After concluding his tenure on Green Lantern, a character that Johns heavily invested himself in, Geoff Johns has announced that he will be leaving Aquaman after issue #25. Already in the midst of another high profile exit, this is extremely disappointing news for DC fans.
Johns has earned much praise for his interpretation of the character that transformed many Aquaman doubters and fair-weather fans into downright fanboys. Even I was a new convert after beginning my romp through Johns’ run on the New 52. Taking over Johns after his departure will be Jeff Parker (Batman ’66). On top of that it looks like Ivan Reis will also be leaving the title as Johns parts ways with the King of Atlantis. Hopefully Aquaman maintains this new badass status that he earned in his revitalization in the New 52.
